Plagiarism: If you build it, they will come (and copy it)

The Independent claims in this article that current Chinese architecture owes more than a slight debt of gratitude to other buildings: indeed, it claims that the Chinese buildings of today are nothing short of plagiarism. However, the efficiency of China’s building companies are so great that, in at least one case, a copied structure is looking like it shall be completed before the original building it copied.
